Monday - Today we watched videos on art and discussed what we think about art and meaning and it has for us.
Tuesday - Each student was given a piece of paper with a 1/4 circle in a square. They then could create any kind of artwork in the square with the 1/4 circle as long as it shows creativity, craftsmanship and filled the space. Each artwork the students create is to become part of a larger artwork.
Wednesday - Today students received and worked on Sketchbook Assignment 1. For this assignment, students were to create an anti-bullying poster. This is due by next Monday.
Thursday - Today students finished their 1/4 circles and worked on their sketchbook assignments. The 1/4 circle drawing is due.
Friday - Today I introduced our first project the Illustrated Acrostic Poem and showed students some examples. They then worked on a brainstorming handout and planning sketches.
